In Tirana, the Minister of Tourism Pedini Amati announces that San Marino will host the European Conference on Accessible Tourism

Already in the past, the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) had chosen our country as the venue for the global discussion of the issue of accessibility of tourist destinations

During F.E.S.T.A. (Future of Environmental Sustainable Tourism Albania), the Tourism Forum organized by the Ministry of Tourism of Albania together with the United Nations World Organization UNWTO, the Minister of Tourism Federico Pedini Amati announced that the Republic of San Marino will host , on 16 and 17 November 2023, for the second time, the work of the UNWTO European Conference on Accessible Tourism.

The "2nd UNWTO Conference on Accessible Tourism in Europe: Tourism for All as a win-win for destinations, companies and quality of life" will present best practices on the role of public administrations and destinations in guiding the adoption of inclusive policies and strategies, satisfy  hosting communities and visitors.
The main theme of the event will be the presentation of the international standards ISO 21902:2021 for universal accessibility as a guiding tool for making infrastructure, tourist facilities, services and products increasingly accessible.

During his speech in the high-level Panel that opened the Tirana Forum, the Minister of Tourism said: "There is one thing on which Governments must and can work with conviction and on which this year we will organize, together with UNWTO, a prestigious event in our Republic: accessibility. We must ensure that tourism can be accessible to all. This means working to reduce the physical barriers that can prevent people with disabilities from fully enjoying tourist attractions but also the economic ones that prevent many people from traveling and at the same time all those barriers that limit people's mobility, knowledge, development, innovation. In summary, we must work together to ensure that tourism, more and more, belongs to everyone and for everyone”.
