Rides with the Bianco Azzurro Train on the occasion of the 1st May long weekend

The AB03 electromotive will be active on 29, 30 April and 1 May

The journeys of the beloved Bianco Azzurro Train continue on the occasion of the long weekend on May 1st.

It will be possible to board the AB03 electromotive and experience the thrill of a dive into the past with an exciting journey through the Montale tunnel. An 800-metre round trip to relive the deeds of the Treno Bianco Azzurro, the railway that connected Rimini to San Marino, unfortunately no longer active since the bombing that took place in the summer of 1944.

The Bianco Azzurro Train was a jewel of railway technology, which when it inaugurated its first journey – way back in 1932 – was able to distinguish itself for its innovation. In fact, while there were still steam generators in Rimini, on the San Marino - Rimini line we travelled with the innovative direct current electric traction. In addition to this, to reach the San Marino station (643 meters above sea level) in just 53 minutes, seventeen tunnels (two of which were helicoidal), three bridges, three viaducts, an overpass and an underpass were built: a remarkable work of civil engineering at the time.

Races will be active on 29, 30 April and 1st May at the following times:
- morning: from 10.30 to 12.00
- afternoon: from 14.30 to 18.00

Maximum number of passengers for each ride: 8/10 people.

The cost of the ticket will be 5.00 euros, the proceeds of which will finance the activities of the Treno Bianco Azzurro Association.
