Great success for the 3rd edition of San Marino Magic Circus

Attendance significantly higher than the previous two editions

The three days of the San Marino Magic Circus, the Festival of circus arts of the Republic of San Marino, now in its third edition, ended last Sunday. A success, that of the 2023 exhibition, confirmed by ever so high visitor numbers.

On Friday 18, Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 August, an estimated 27,659 people reached the various car parks of the UNESCO heritage site. From Friday to Sunday, 15,693 total passages of the cable car service were also recorded.
Old Town where the shows took place and Campo Bruno Reffi, for all 3 days: in particular, the Gran Galà di Magia on Saturday evening, recorded over 1000 admissions, establishing itself as the flagship show of the entire festival.

A succession of conjurers, comedians and magicians who, introduced and told by Daniele Lepantini, performed in the magical art par excellence: the art of wondering, the only one that allows you to remain suspended between dream and reality and that has the power to make us go back to childhood again. Rocco Borsalino, Luca Bono, Miguel Munoz, Uncle Potter are the ones who ignited the wonder until the explosion in the astounding grand finale by Ottavio Belli.

The other two main shows staged in Campo Bruno Reffi by Mago Lupis and the Lucchettino Company had the same fate: both had over 600 attendances.

A perfect alchemy under the banner of entertainment, lightheartedness and fun, the one that could be admired for three days in the Old Town: from the romantic vaulting of the Patuf Circus, in a fascinating setting like Cava dei Balestrieri, to the laughter brought on stage from Otto Panzer, up to the magic tricks and exciting stories of the Wizard Fil.

A great success therefore for this third edition of San Marino Magic Circus, an event conceived and directed by Ottavio Belli with the sponsorship of the Ministry of Tourism and in collaboration with the Tourism Board, with the creative collaboration of Dreamup Factory and, for the first time, the organizational support of the MarciaMela Association, also organizer of the SMIAF.

Ottavio Belli: “The historic center of San Marino, an evocative location and one of the most beautiful in the world, was the setting for an excellent circus interpretation: I thank every artist who made the success of the event possible with their presence, I thank the my partner Giancarlo Bomba for the magical shots with which he narrated the Festival and also the Marciamela Association, which with the experience of its partners and members made the event truly enjoyable, from all points of view. The San Marino Magic Circus - concludes Belli - has managed to excite the young and old, the greatest satisfaction for those who do this job. A very deep thank you to all of you, see you in 2024”.

Federico Pedini Amati (Minister of Tourism): “We had no doubts about the success of the San Marino Magic Circus, it is a quality event organized by professionals whom I take this opportunity to thank. Our Old Town still has its strong attraction and when it is enlivened by events like this it sets important turnout records. The world of the circus is able to excite the young and old and represents an attraction on which I am pleased to have focused".
