The month of August closes and the month of September opens with a week full of events.

Summertime: Return to Beat Generation – 28 August
An event for all fans of seventies and eighties music. The Retro Musicgroup band will thrill by playing live the great Italian and foreign hits of Pop, Progressive and Rock.

Lucio Battisti Tribute Night – 29 August
Final appointment for the San Marino Concert Band, under the direction of Maestro Dino Gnassi, to dedicate an evening to the famous songs of the singer-songwriter Lucio Battisti: a tribute to a giant of Italian music.

RAPublic Hip Hop Music Festival vol.3 – 31 August - 1 September
Urban, hip hop and street culture will be the backdrop for the two days dedicated to inclusion and fun, in which many international artists and guests will perform to show their skills and raise awareness of street culture. Both days of the festival will be animated by DJ sets, open mics, freestyle, street dance, writers and contests.

Tuttavia…che spettacolo! – 1-3 September
The main objective of this Project is the promotion of Mototherapy and inclusiveness in San Marino.
The event this year will be even richer in international guests, many surprises, reflections and solidarity.
Free entrance to the Village; a bracelet will be issued for €5 to try out the activities inside the Village. Free activities for people with disabilities. All proceeds will go to charity.

In Saint Marinus’ Footsteps – 2 September
A pilgrimage that starts from the town of Poggio Torriana called Santo Marino and ends at the Basilica del Santo, in San Marino’s Old Town.
The itinerary retraces the fundamental stages of the Camino del Santo Marino on the occasion of the Feast of 3rd September which every year celebrates the Patron Saint and the Foundation of the Republic which took place in 301 AD.

Giro del Monte – 2 September
The historic running and walking circuit will be back on the 7 km street circuit, around Mount Titano, in the heart of the Republic of San Marino. Novelty of the tenth edition: the first Giro del Monte Skytrail 9 km 450D+ for trail run enthusiasts and the photographic exhibition, in the CARISP Gallery, with the original images of the Giro del Monte from the 70s.

Feast of Saint Marinus and of the Foundation of the Republic – 3 September
The Republic of San Marino celebrates its foundation anniversary with a very rich program that will combine tradition, music and shows. The awaited public holiday of Sunday 3 September will begin from the early hours of the morning with a succession of institutional events, starting with the Holy Solemn Mass at 10.00 in the Basilica del Santo. In the afternoon, the Holiday takes on a more popular character with the Big Crossbow Tournament at 15.30 in Cava dei Balestrieri, followed by the Concert of the Military Band of the Republic of San Marino directed by Maestro Stefano Gatta, voice Sara Jane Ghiotti, at 17.30 in Piazza della Libertà in the presence of their Excellencies the Captains Regent. And then again, the traditional Bingo at 19.00 in Piazzale Lo Stradone up to the concert by Mario Venuti & Full Band Live at 21.30 at Campo Bruno Reffi; open act Roberta DiLorenzo. At the end, the sky will light up with the fantastic fireworks that will conclude the celebrations.
Worth mentioning is the reopening of the Second Tower and the Museum of Ancient Weapons after a long restoration.
In case of bad weather, the Concert of the Military Band and the Bingo will be postponed to Sunday 10 September, same places, same times; while the Mario Venuti concert will be held at the Concordia Theater in Borgo Maggiore.

Saturday 8 July the exhibition dedicated to the American artist, father of pop art opens. More than 60 works, from important private collections and international institutions such as the Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh, tell the entire creative universe of Warhol, from the first drawings made for publishing and fashion, to the most important pop works.
