MotoGP Arrows Contest: while waiting for the track, the riders challenge each other with bows and arrows

The official MotoGP pre-event will take place on Wednesday at 18:00 in the suggestive Cava dei Balestrieri

Misano World Circuit, 4 September 2023 – The week of the Red Bull Grand Prix of San Marino and the Rimini Riviera, scheduled from 8 to 10 September at the Misano World Circuit, is coming to life.

The doors of the circuit will open on Thursday, with the Angeluss Parade which will arrive at MWC at lunchtime, the traditional solidarity pit walk directed to local voluntary associations in the late afternoon and then on Friday to the general public, with the free practice programme, but the events surrounding the Grand Prix have already begun in San Marino and on the Riviera.

After the inauguration in Rimini of the exhibition "The fifty golden years of Italian motorcycling" promoted by the Nuovo Moto Club Renzo Pasolini, open every day until Sunday, Wednesday will be the turn of the official MotoGP pre-event, scheduled in the suggestive Cava dei Balestrieri of San Marino, a few steps from the arrival of the cable car.

It's called the MotoGP™ Arrows Contest and it promises great entertainment and fun for the fans and the public (free entry). Accustomed to challenging each other for speed on the track, 10 MotoGP riders will have to measure their accuracy in an archery competition.

According to what Dorna announced two days ago, world champion Francesco Bagnaia and Enea Bastianini, as everyone knows, protagonists of two disastrous crashes in yesterday's Catalan Grand Prix will not be present. Representing the Lenovo Ducati MotoGP Team in their place will be Michele Pirro, who we will also see on the track over the weekend in place of the injured Bastianini.

In addition to Michele Pirro, Marco Bezzecchi and Luca Marini (Mooney VR46 Racing Team), Lorenzo Savadori (Aprilia Racing), Riccardo Rossi, Kaito Toba, Kevin Zannoni and Kevin Manfredi (SIC58 Squadracorse), Tatuski Suzuki ( Leopard Racing) and Mattia Casadei (HP Pons Los40).

Each rider will have to shoot 6 arrows in turn, aiming at the six targets that reproduce the silhouette of the Misano World Circuit. Each target will have a different range of points depending on size and location. The driver who achieves the highest score will be the winner of the competition.

At the end all the protagonists will be available for an autograph session with the fans.

The event, made possible thanks to the collaboration with the Lunghi Archi di San Marino, is scheduled at 18.00 at the Cava dei Balestrieri.
