Candlelight Concert: From Bach to Led Zeppelin

Monday 10 August and Tuesday 8 September

The Republic of San Marino is getting ready to host a highly evocative and prestigious event. On Monday 10 August 2026, at 21:00, the unique setting of the Orti Borghesi in San Marino's Old Town will provide the backdrop for the concert “By Candlelight – From Bach to Led Zeppelin”, organised by Rimini Classica with the support of the Ministry of Tourism for its San Marino performance.

The event will return in the same format on 8 September, under the title “A Tribute to Morricone and Film Music.”

The concert is free of charge, with advance booking required via the Eventbrite platform, and will offer audiences an extraordinary and timeless musical journey, spanning different eras and genres, from classical music to symphonic rock.

The programme features a rich and engaging repertoire, moving seamlessly from classical masterpieces—including works by Astor Piazzolla—to contemporary interpretations through transcriptions and arrangements that bring orchestral language closer to modern musical expression, culminating in iconic Led Zeppelin classics reimagined in orchestral and chamber music form.

The fusion of classical instruments and modern sounds will create a unique musical experience, appealing both to lovers of classical music and to rock enthusiasts.

For two evenings—August 10 and September 8—the Orti Borghesi, a hidden gem within San Marin's Old Town, will be transformed into a magical open-air stage illuminated by hundreds of candles. The intimate atmosphere and exceptional venue will make each performance a memorable occasion, inviting audiences to experience music as a shared sensory journey that bridges different eras and musical traditions.
