World Tourism Day is celebrated every year on 27 September with an ad hoc theme and all member countries of the World Tourism Organization will celebrate it with various initiatives.

The theme chosen for the 2024 edition is Tourism and Peace.

World Tourism Day 2024 aims to explore the intersection of tourism and peacebuilding, highlighting how travel, cultural exchange and sustainable tourism practices can contribute to conflict resolution, reconciliation, and the promotion of peace worldwide.

On the occasion of World Tourism Day in San Marino it will be possible to visit the State Museums for free.
