Octo Grand Prix of San Marino and Rimini Riviera

The 2021 poster signed by Aldo Drudi has been presented

Misano World Circuit, 21 July 2021 - Motor Valley, Riders' Land and Ducati. With the colors of the Republic of San Marino and the beach of the Rimini Riviera. With a wink to the 2022 World Ducati Week, which promises to be memorable after two years of forced break.

The 2021 poster of the Octo Grand Prix of San Marino and the Rimini Riviera, from 17 to 19 September at Misano World Circuit, bears the signature of the Drudi Performance and in summing up the values that enrich the event of the world championship, as usual, starts the countdown towards the week expected by all fans. It will be the sixteenth consecutive edition and will certainly offer a very high profile show given the alternation of the protagonists and the races held so far, as well as profiling with further interest in the wild cards announced.

"We emphasized the made in Italy theme - says designer Aldo Drudi - and in the Motor Valley of Emilia-Romagna it was natural to focus on Ducati. The powerful red was then inserted into a graphically balanced system to recall other elements: the uniqueness of the circuit with its texture colors the flag of the Riders' Land, the Rimini Riviera and the Republic of San Marino. We changed the texture to the colors of the sand and introduced the blue of the sky and the sea, which also identifies San Marino. We were almost surprised by the result, which we believe has an effective impact as a graphics application. It still has a 'racing' impact, but in a context that makes it a sophisticated project. We are very satisfied, a style that recalls the made in Italy stands out and we are sure we will see them again in the future graphic languages of teams and drivers”.
Two months to the Grand Prix, with the caution that the current phase of the epidemic inspires, the promoters are confident that the vaccination campaign and the organizational format developed and tested in 2020 with 10 thousand spectators a day will induce the Government to approve the daily entry of 23 thousand people, approximately 25% of the total capacity, with the exclusion of lawns and the nominative ticket.

Unable to reach MWC to share the new poster, due to commitments in the Legislative Assembly, the President of Emilia-Romagna Stefano Bonaccini points out the objectives of the event and the strategy that involves him.

"The Misano appointment confirms how Emilia-Romagna is the real world Motor Valley: only here is it possible to find such a high number of historic two and four-wheel brands, companies and specialized companies and above all a passion without limits. I would like to thank the organizers for the professionalism they put in the care of every detail, like this poster. The Emilia-Romagna Region was close to Misano in the most dramatic moments of the pandemic and will continue to be there. We believe that sport is an extraordinary engine of social cohesion and healthy values, as well as the promotion of our inimitable territory. On our part, this commitment will never fail”.

“We have already demonstrated organizational reliability and a sense of responsibility – has been said from the Rimini Riviera - so we look at the future with confidence. MotoGP represents, together with the sporting values it expresses, a strong impulse for the promotion of the territory.

The Grand Prix aims at international visibility, which is the objective of the agreement between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Ice-Agency for the promotion abroad and the internationalization of Italian companies and the Emilia-Romagna Region. The great content of the promotion is the Made in Italy and in our case also in a territory dedicated to hospitality, which includes the oldest Republic in the world ".

“The Grand Prix of San Marino and the Rimini Riviera is confirmed as the flagship event for the Republic of San Marino - say the competent Ministers, Teodoro Lonfernini for Sport and Federico Pedini Amati for Tourism -. It is a source of satisfaction to implement synergies and consolidate the fruitful collaboration with the other promoters. The hope, also in consideration of last year's test, is that the stands of the Misano World Circuit will be able to welcome fans and enthusiasts in an even greater number than in 2020 ".

The 2021 poster and the photo shoot made in these days with the pilots and the institutions will launch the communication program shared by the promoters. The goal is to enhance the destination through the creation, among other initiatives, of planned video content with a digital and social focus that aims at the Italian market, but also the foreign one. Particular attention will be paid to the motorcycle tourism sector which will be enhanced through the creation of itineraries useful for getting to know the beauties of the Region and the places of the Riders' Land.
