The UNWTO International Conference on Accessible Tourism starts tomorrow

Two days of discussion for nations, tourist destinations, organizations and businesses on the topic of the right to "tourism for all" in the presence of Ministers, technicians and experts in the sector

The Kursaal Congress Centre of the Republic of San Marino hosts the International Conference of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO): "TOURISM FOR ALL - Advancing accessibility for destinations, companies and people".

Two days of conferences (16 and 17 November), round tables and leading panels to promote "tourism for all" and discuss what the world of tourism must do to guarantee people with disabilities the right to tourism. The Republic of San Marino hosts for the second time a conference on accessible tourism 9 years after the firs time and together with Italy and UNWTO will offer a platform for governments, destinations and the private sector to discuss the best ways to prioritize accessibility in any tourism policy or strategy. The event is organized to demonstrate once again that making tourist destinations and companies accessible will pave the way for the future. The conference includes two days of work with the participation of Ministers and authorities from different countries around the world as well as technicians and experts from public and private organizations.

At the end of the conference the "San Marino Action Plan" should be defined and signed, a document that dictates the guidelines for the development of accessible and sustainable tourism in line with the objectives of the United Nations 2030 Agenda and respectful of people with disabilities and at the same time to make the Republic of San Marino a permanent hub for the development of inclusive policies.
