The Kobra exhibition opens the celebrations for 40 years of Official Relations with Brazil

Audience with the Captains Regent and cutting of the ribbon of the exhibition in the presence of the artist

The programme of events organized by the Republic of San Marino to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Official Relations with Brazil has begun today. At the centre of the initiatives, sponsored by the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Tourism and Culture, is the presence in the territory of the famous artist KOBRA who has been introduces today by the Ministry Federico Pedini Amati to the Most Excellent Captains Regent in the Audience, in the presence of the Ministry of Culture Andrea Belluzzi and who from 28 March to 3 September will exhibit some of his works in the exhibition space on the ground floor of the of the Ministry of  Tourism's headquarters.

“Kobra is an obstinate researcher of historical images that he revisits and imprints on gigantic walls - explained Pedini Amati in his speech - thanks to the skilful use of color and an impactful, effective and extremely reinforcing style of what he represents. Not just history, in his works he raises issues related to ecology, respect for human rights and diversity. His sensitivity to social issues is palpable." At the end of the audience, Kobra was awarded the honor of Commander of the Equestrian Order of Saint Agatha.

The ribbon cutting of the exhibition has been the second event scheduled today. Inside the exhibition space Kobra presented the panel he wanted to create for the occasion: two hands representing the two countries from which doves carrying peace depart. A painting that San Marino will have the honor and pleasure of preserving in its museums and which could soon become, as happened with its first project, a postage stamp.

This evening at 21.00 the screening of the docufilm "Kobra - Self Portrait" at the Cinema Concordia (Borgo Maggiore) in the presence of the artist.
