San Marino – Italy, meeting in Paris in view of EXPO 2030
General Assembly of the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE)
On the occasion of the General Assembly of the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) ongoing this morning in Paris, a significant meeting took place which further strengthened the ties between San Marino and Italy. The Ministry of Tourism, Federico Pedini Amati, had the opportunity to meet Maria Tripodi, Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Italian Government.
The meeting, characterized by an atmosphere of friendship and cordiality, testifies the profound affinity and mutual respect between the two countries. The discussion focused on Rome's candidacy as host city for EXPO 2030, an event of global importance that catalyzes innovation, culture and progress.
San Marino already declared its support for Rome's candidacy last February, not only for the historical and cultural value of the Italian-San Marino friendship, but also for the potential positive economic consequences that an EXPO in Italy could generate, in line with the positive experiences following the EXPO Milan.
