Pedini Amati inaugurates the stand of San Marino at the WTM in London

The ribbon cutting in the presence of Consul Bragagni and ENIT top management

The Secretary of State for Tourism Federico Pedini Amati is in London where this morning he inaugurated the stand of the Republic of San Marino at the 44th edition of the World Travel Market, which is held at ExCel London until 7 November.

The 2024 edition of the WTM is the largest ever, not only in terms of exhibitors, but also in terms of attendance. The organizers expect at least 45,000 professional visitors from all over the world, recording a 9% growth in the number of destinations present. WTM London will host over 4,000 global tourism organisations, hoteliers, transport services, technology brands, associations and tour operators.

The Republic of San Marino presents itself with an exhibition space of 40 personalized square meters where 6 San Marino operators are also based.

The Honorary Consul of San Marino in Great Britain, Maurizio Bragagni, the Marketing Director of ENIT Maria Elena Rossi and the Honorable Gianluca Caramanna also participated in the official ribbon cutting. The Secretary of State Federico Pedini Amati then attended the Italian Inauguration Ceremony and spoke with the top management of ENIT and with the Italian Minister Daniela Santanchè, subsequently with the Greek Minister Olga Kefalogianni and then participated in the meeting organized by the Minister of Tourism of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Ahmeed Al Katheeb with the visit of the pavilion and the launch of the new national airline Riyadh Air.

The Secretary of State is working on many issues for this prestigious initiative: with the Greek Minister the possibility of expanding the agreement already signed a few years ago, but also of implementing strategic collaboration at a European level, was evaluated, today that Greece itself expresses the EU Commissioner for Tourism. The relationship with Saudi Arabia is always strategic, as is, obviously, the one with the Italian Ministry. With ENIT we discussed the renewal of the strategic collaboration agreement with the Tourism Office which sees, among the key points, joint participation in international fairs such as the one underway in London.

In the afternoon, the Secretary of State Federico Pedini Amati will visit the Consulate of San Marino in London while tomorrow he will participate in the "Ministers' Summit" organized by UNTourism, the United Nations World Tourism Organization, a meeting at which he will find the Tourism Ministers of the whole world.

Federico Pedini Amati: “Participating in events of this kind is fundamental for the tourism promotion of the Republic of San Marino and for diplomacy linked to tourism. Meeting Ministers from other countries means discussing trends and opportunities. Even more important will be tomorrow's ministerial which will outline global guidelines and indicate the paths that countries will follow in the coming years".
