The Christmas of Wonders, A Place of Another Time

The fantastic journey of the Christmas of Wonders continues in the Republic of San Marino, where the unique atmosphere of the Old Town becomes an authentic Place of Another Time. An event that fascinates visitors of all ages, offering an immersive experience of traditions, lights and surprises.

Spending Christmas in the oldest Republic in the world will be an unrepeatable opportunity to experience a unique dimension, suspended between history, tradition and Christmas magic.

The timeless charm of the Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is dressed in sparkling lights, festive melodies and enchanting decorations; the Christmas of Wonders with its attractions welcomes everyone to offer an exciting journey through the centuries, in a place where time seems to have stopped.

On Saturday 28 December at 16.30 the extraordinary Hot Air Balloon Show will begin, a spectacular parade in the Old Town with actors on stilts accompanied by evocative hot air balloons made entirely by hand. The show is based on the novel Around the World in 80 Days by Jules Verne: having set off on a crazy journey around the world in hot air balloons, the explorers have lost their way, driven by the various winds, and the journey continues amidst extraordinary adventures to reach the coveted destination, thanks also to the help of passers-by and spectators who will cross paths with them.

On Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 December the rides with the AB03 Electromotive of the historic Treno Bianco Azzurro from the Montale Gallery return for an unrepeatable journey back to the 1940s.
