San Marino and UN Tourism

Pedini Amati in Dubai to consolidate the global agenda for accessible tourism

The Republic of San Marino is strengthening its international positioning as a catalyst for inclusive tourism. The Secretary of State for Tourism, Federico Pedini Amati, has been selected as a speaker at the fifth edition of the Accessible Travel and Tourism International Conference (ATTIC 2025), scheduled to take place in Dubai. The conference will present to the world the Action Agenda on Accessible Tourism and the resulting Compendium of Best Practices, strategic documents drafted in conjunction with the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UN Tourism) and resulting from the international conference hosted on San Marino in November 2023.

San Marino's participation in Dubai, alongside global political authorities, leading tourism entrepreneurs and stakeholders committed to accessibility, reaffirms the role of the Republic of San Marino as a laboratory of ideas and a driver of change.

The Secretary of State for Tourism, Federico Pedini Amati, emphasized the urgency of a concrete commitment:
"Governments are called to take more decisive action, and we must be among the first in this inclusive effort. Accessibility is an inalienable right that we have a duty to ensure. In this authoritative context, San Marino will be an active advocate within UN Tourism for the acceleration of accessibility policies, as it already successfully did in 2023. We will continue this commitment, agreeing on further strategic initiatives starting with the next General Assembly Conference to be held in Riyadh in November."
