The Music of the “Classics”

When you think of the Classics (Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven) you think of the symphony, the quartet, but also the form. In the classicism of the late eighteenth century, the sonata form is contrasted with a "Melodic" style, called Galante, which gives the melody without frills, pure and expressive, a primary role in the entire composition.
This is the case of two masterpieces of the genre. The two very famous Romances op. 40 and op. 50 by Beethoven for Violin and Orchestra and the wonderful Concerto for Clarinet and Orchestra k 622 by Mozart. Two examples in which melody returns to being the master of music, after the virtuosic baroque flourishes and after the great era of polyphony.
A classical program with proto-romantic accents which will be interpreted by the Orchestra Camerata del Titano conducted by Augusto Ciavatta and by two exceptional soloists Marco Ignoti on the clarinet and Angelo Cicillini on the violin.
