Hearts in the Square. For a Sweeter New Year!

San Marino, 28 December 2023 – Christmas has passed but the magic of the holidays continues to light up the streets and squares of the Old Town of San Marino. The Christmas of Wonders - A Sweeter World program continues every day until 7 January from 10.30 to 19.00, except for 1 January 2024, the day on which the Christmas of Wonders attractions will be open from 14.30.

The anticipation for the arrival of the new year is growing with the "Hearts in the Square. For a Sweeter New Year!" party: from around 22.00 Piazzale Lo Stradone will be transformed into a real open scene to spend the last night of the year with the whole family. Opening the evening will be the hilarious gags of the well-known television impersonator Antonio Mezzancella and followed by the overwhelming Showzer Party Band, led by the Gingerbread Man, who returns again this year with the live concert and the exciting dance troupe for bring a lot of rhythm and energy to the square. Unmissable, then, is the DJ set by Mr. Lory G. and at the stroke of midnight the greeting toast with the traditional sparkling wine accompanied by a sweet slice of pandoro or panettone.

Another tradition in San Marino is the New Year's Concert organized by the San Marino Military Band: directed by Lt. M° Stefano Gatta, the Military Band returns on January 1st at 17.00 to the Titano Theater with a musical tribute to the soundtracks from Walt Disney films.

Not to be missed until January 7th are the Christmas Markets in Via Eugippo and Via Donna Felicissima, the Chocolate Factory, where young and old can meet Santa Claus until December 31st, the Ice Park in Cava dei Balestrieri, the Dolce Mostra by Master Pastry Chef Roberto Rinaldini and the Big Tree in Piazzale Domus Plebis. Special mention for the House of Sweet Hearts in Piazza della Libertà, where every afternoon - repeated every half hour from 17.00 to 18.30 - the eccentric chocolatier who owns the house will involve the public in an exciting show of lights, sounds and special effects. Furthermore, splendid Christmas images will be projected on the external walls of the buildings surrounding the square, which will make event even more unique.

The Christmas of Wonders continues until 7 January with incredible attractions and shows that will enliven the Old Town of the Republic of San Marino.
