World Tourism Day – 27 September
World Tourism Day is celebrated every year on 27 September with an ad hoc theme and all member countries of the World Tourism Organization will celebrate it with various initiatives.
The theme chosen for the 2024 edition is Tourism and Peace.
World Tourism Day 2024 aims to explore the intersection of tourism and peacebuilding, highlighting how travel, cultural exchange and sustainable tourism practices that can contribute to conflict resolution, reconciliation, and the promotion of peace worldwide.
On the occasion of World Tourism Day in San Marino it will be possible to visit the State Museums for free.

European Heritage Days – 28 and 29 September
The initiative, jointly proposed by the Council of Europe and the European Commission with the aim of strengthening and encouraging dialogue and exchange in the cultural field between European nations. The theme chosen for this year is "Routes, Networks and Connections" to highlight the interconnections that shape Europe's rich and diverse heritage, from ancient trade routes and networks to modern digital connections. To celebrate the European Heritage Days, numerous initiatives will be active in the Old Town on Saturday and Sunday: visit, free ride on board the AB03 electromotive of the historic Blue and White Train, free entry to all State Museums including Kobra Exhibition. On Saturday 28th the cultural walk “Cammino del Santo Marino” at 9.30 am, in the afternoon the parade of the Crossbowmen Federation at 3.30 pm and guided visits to the “Tra Storia e Memoria” exhibition at 3.00 pm and 4.00 pm. Sunday 29th free guided tour at 11.00. In the afternoon the celebrations will end at 4.00 pm with the performance of the String Trio of the San Marino Musical Institute at the Prima Torre; in case of bad weather the concert will be held at the Cassa di Risparmio Gallery.
