Christmas of Wonders - A Place from Another Time

This year's Christmas of Wonders will be "A Place from Another Time"! From 30 November to 6 January 2025, tourists and visitors of the 22nd edition of the Christmas of the Republic of San Marino will be immersed in a vintage atmosphere that will lead them to live a unique experience through a dive into the past.

The magic of Christmas in San Marino will retrace the atmosphere of times gone by where authentic traditions and emotions between past and present will meet to give an unforgettable Christmas for everyone.
Experiencing the Christmas of Wonders will be like taking a step back in time when gifts were handmade, when the celebration was about riding on a merry-go-round with the horses and when stories and fairy tales were listened to with fervor.

Young and old will be able to immerse themselves in A Place from Another Time and give themselves a Christmas to carry in their hearts, a Christmas to remember.

The Minister of Tourism Federico Pedini Amati has presented the event this morning at a press conference together with Annachiara Sica, Director of the Tourism Board, Alberto Di Rosa CEO of NexTime Eventi and Simone Ranieri, artistic director and director of the shows.

Minister of Tourism Federico Pedini Amati: “The Christmas of Wonders returns for the 22nd edition, confirming a tradition that combines culture, history and folklore, becoming one of the main tourist attractions during the winter period. In addition to offering a suggestive festive atmosphere, the attractions, shows, lights and Christmas markets can be considered a real experience for the many visitors who choose San Marino at that time of year. We wanted to give the 2024 edition of the event a strongly traditional connotation by asking NexTime Eventi, the company that won the tender for the organization of the initiative, to guarantee tourists and visitors a unique and engaging atmosphere. I would like to thank the Tourism Board as well as the private individuals, associations, bodies and all those who collaborated in different ways to organize such a complex event. We are sure that this edition will also amaze!”

Director of the Tourism Board, Annachiara Sica: “The Christmas of Wonders – A Place from Another Time” is a project in line with the communicative value of the tourist destination that San Marino covers during the Christmas period in the national tourism segment. The communication campaign of the Christmas of Wonders, thanks to a team of professionals who support the Tourism Board, namely Expansion Group, Moab and Evolvency, aims to reconfirm a real product with strong appeal, capable of attracting a number of visitors both from the neighboring territories and from the most important cities in Italy. The communication activities implemented will give ample space to digital, with the involvement of local and national influencers but will also see OOH activations in the main catchment areas of the neighboring territories.”

CEO NexTime Eventi, Alberto Di Rosa: "We are happy and excited to organize our sixth edition of the Christmas of Wonders for the Republic of San Marino: a journey that began in 2018. Every year we are inspired by the beautiful locations of the historic center of San Marino, trying to find unique and distinctive concepts that allow our projects to be real immersive formats for the public. From the welcome to the lights, from the settings to the attractions, everything is studied in the smallest detail. This year we wanted to bring the tradition and warmth of the past, enhancing San Marino as a place of times gone by, inspired by the 19th century rides/carousels, with its iconic hand-inlaid horses. A great novelty will be the Santa Claus Village in Campo Bruno Reffi with the Alpaca Village, where adults and children can come into contact with them in total safety and respect for the animals."

Artistic Director of NexTime Eventi, Simone Ranieri: “Every year it is exciting to return to the Republic of San Marino and find new stimuli that can envelop the visitor in the warmth of Christmas, enhancing the beauty of the historic center. Fortunately, it is easy to find ideas and opportunities in San Marino to create emotional attractions for tourists and citizens. This year we wanted to enhance tradition, rediscovering ancient rides, costumes and the warm flavor of installations and activities from “other times” through the symbol of the little horse, one of the iconic toys of children of a time gone by. Even the lights that will illuminate the city’s districts represent the little horse, symbol of Christmas 2024. The theme of the event has also been expressed in the rich program of shows, which will retrace music and attractions from “other times”: from marching bands in jazz dixie style, to the parade of giant hot air balloons; from the enchanted dance of white unicorns to street theater shows”
