San Marino, home of car and motorbike enthusiasts
Over 2400 crews will climb Mount Titano in 2025 to take part in 24 different gatherings, competitions and exhibitions
Passion, culture, economy and territorial identity: these are the stylistic features and the added value that characterise car and motorbike gatherings, events that are now far removed from any stereotype that might identify them as exclusively niche or the preserve of a restricted target group, but which instead represent a strong lever for the tourist promotion of a country and the enhancement of its cultural heritage, thanks to the media coverage guaranteed by the press, TV and social media and ensured by historic brands, vintage cars and motorbikes and iconic competitions capable of attracting the attention of families, official clubs, journalists and photographers.
Many events are scheduled in the Republic of San Marino in 2025. Presented yesterday by the Deputy Minister of Tourism Alan Gasperoni and the Director of the Tourism Board Annachiara Sica were as many as 24 different events. They range from gatherings for owners of the iconic Piaggio Vespa to those for Panda 4x4 lovers, from those who will parade in supercars or Japanese cars to lovers of cars of historic brands such as Ferrari, BMW, Porshe and Alfa Romeo. On 18 May, the programme opens by looking to the future with a gathering of electric cars, followed on the 23rd of the same month by the ‘International Porsche 356 Meeting’ in San Marino, with crews from all over the world (over 250) and for which a dedicated postage stamp will also be issued. On 19 June, 1000 Miglia event is renewed and the splendid historic cars will return to colour the streets of the Old Town. From 16 to 21 June, the Mille Miglia motorbike race will pass through San Marino, organised with the collaboration of the Association ‘I Borghi più Belli d'Italia’ (Italy's Most Beautiful Villages), while the return of the Gran Premio Nuvolari is scheduled for 20 September. The ‘Linea Gialla’ (Yellow Line), the gathering of military vehicle enthusiasts, will not be missing, just as the traditional camping gathering, which has reached its 38th edition, will be confirmed.
