emerging strategies for future tourism
The Republic of San Marino is preparing to host a leading event in the international tourism panorama: the “NEXT – Tourism Innovation Forum”. Conceived as part of the initiatives of the Territorial Tourism Table “The Lovely Places”, the event is destined to stand out as a platform of excellence to explore emerging dynamics, strategic investments and narratives that are redefining the global tourism sector. The inaugural edition, scheduled for 10 June 2025, aims to become an essential point of reference for operators, academics and institutions. Organized by the Secretariat of State for Tourism of San Marino, with the valuable collaboration of the Italian Ministry of Tourism, the Marche and Emilia-Romagna Regions, and authoritative national and international institutions, the Forum will welcome public administrators, industry professionals, scholars, journalists, investors and influencers. It will be an opportunity for high-profile discussion and professional growth.
The day's program is divided into moments of high-level training and debate, designed to stimulate deep reflections and outline innovative trajectories:
• 09:30: Accreditation and Welcome Coffee
• 10:00: National Anthems with Alessandra Busignani
• 10:05: Opening Greetings by Federico Pedini Amati, Secretary of State for Tourism, and Introduction to the work by Roberto Chiesa, President of the Information Council.
• 10:15: The panel "Territorial synergy for tourism promotion" will see Federico Pedini Amati, the Hon. Gianluca Caramanna, Advisor to the Minister of Tourism, and Alessandra Priante, President of ENIT, in dialogue. Moderated by Roberto Chiesa.
• 10:30: "Tourism communication: developments and models" will be the theme at the center of the debate between Elide Giordani, Secretary General of the Order of Journalists of Bologna, Barbara Francioni, Professor of Marketing at the University of Urbino Carlo Bo, Osvaldo Bevilacqua, journalist and TV host, and Andrea Landini, Sales Marketing Director Publitalia '80 / Mediaset Group. Moderated by Maria Letizia Camparsi of San Marino RTV.
• 11:00: A significant Lectio Magistralis with Prof. Bernard Cova of KEDGE Business School (Marseille) and Bocconi University(Milan), which will address the topic of "Deceleration and disconnection as future directions for spiritual experience marketing".
• 11:20: The dialogue on "Film Tourism and TV Productions: Values and Opportunities" will see the participation of Marco Zela, Head of Communication - Corporate RAI, Niki Argento, Film Tourism Influencer and Creator, and Fabrizio Raggi, Actor and Manager for San Marino Film Tourism. Moderated by Roberto Chiesa.
• 12:00: Space for "Investments and Urban Regeneration for Tourism Purposes", a dialogue with Roberta Frisoni, Councilor for Tourism of the Emilia-Romagna Region, Pablo Díaz-Rato Corchado, UN Tourism Senior Project Specialist - Innovation, Education, Investments, Michela Marzoli, Marketing and Communications Director, Club del Sole, Davide Ponzini, Professor of Urban Planning at the Polytechnic University of Milan, and Andrea Falzaresi of the Club Family Hotel / Le Conchiglie Riccione. Moderated by Giacomo Barducci of San Marino RTV.
• 12:45: An in-depth interview with Eduardo Santander, CEO of the European Travel Commission, conducted by Ilaria Vesentini, journalist of Il Sole 24 Ore, will illustrate the European vision of sustainable tourism, digitalization and international promotion. A debate open to the public with Q&A will follow.
• 13.30: Light Lunch.
