San Marino Comics - Pop Culture Festival

San Marino is preparing to welcome back one of the most eagerly awaited events on the Italian cultural and pop scene: San Marino Comics, scheduled from 29 to 31 August, organised by the San Marino Comics Association and LEG Live Emotion Group. Now in its twelfth edition, the festival has chosen to renew itself and experiment, with an increasingly harmonious vision integrated with the unique setting of the Republic's historic centre. The festival will be held under the patronage of the Ministry of Tourism, the Ministry of Industry, the Ministry of Education and Culture, the Ministry of Health and the Municipality of San Marino, with the collaboration of the Tourism Board.

Following the success of previous editions, which saw the historic centre of San Marino flooded with enthusiasts, artists, cosplayers and families, this year the Republic will immerse itself in the wonderful world of fairy tales. The chosen slogan is “WHISPER”, an invitation to lose oneself – and find oneself – in the beating heart of fairy tales: Whisper, the whisper that guides the way between light and shadow, between enchantment and unease. Inspired by the famous stories of the Brothers Grimm, this fairy-tale journey will transform the entire festival into an enchanted kingdom, where characters such as Little Red Riding Hood, Snow White, Cinderella and Rapunzel will come to life through immersive scenery, live animations and interactive experiences designed for all ages. The “whisper” is the invisible thread that runs through every story, the mysterious silence of the forest, the whispering of Hansel and Gretel lost among the trees, the suspended sweetness of the kiss that awakens Snow White. It is an echo of emotions that unites children and adults, speaking of fear and hope, courage and wonder. The theme explores the dual nature of fairy tales, the light and the dark, offering the audience a profound and engaging experience: every fairy tale is, after all, a mirror that reflects who we are, what we fear and what we dream of becoming.
