"Pilgrimage of Peace and Hope In the Footsteps of San Marino"
A walk scheduled for Saturday, August 30th, to retrace the most significant places in the life of the Saint.
The pilgrimage of peace and hope, "In the Footsteps of San Marino," is an important initiative promoting spirituality and religious tourism, scheduled for Saturday, August 30th. This journey, which retraces the most significant places in the life of the Patron Saint, is part of a religious tourism development project long promoted by the Secretariat of State for Tourism in collaboration with the Diocese of San Marino Montefeltro and the Diocese of Rimini.
The goal is to encourage collaboration between the parties to enhance and publicize the area's rich historical, artistic, and ecclesiastical heritage, while also addressing tourism and spiritual goals.
The event takes place during the celebrations for the patron saint, joining this year's Jubilee activities and the official celebrations scheduled for September 3rd.
The route will begin from the Church of Santo Marino in Poggio Torriana and lead participants to the Basilica del Santo, where Monsignor Beneventi, Bishop of the Diocese of San Marino Montefeltro, will await them. To facilitate participation, a free shuttle service will be available, departing at 8:15 a.m. from the Logge di Borgo Maggiore. It is also possible to participate partially by joining the Gualdicciolo and Acquaviva stops.
An important aspect of the initiative is the plenary indulgence granted by the Apostolic Penitentiary, which will be granted to all sincerely repentant faithful who have received Holy Communion and confessed and who participate in the pilgrimage. This makes the experience not only a moment of spiritual reflection, but also an opportunity for inner growth and renewed faith.
The Pilgrimage of Peace and Hope, In the Footsteps of San Marino, combines spirituality, culture, and tourism, offering participants an experience of faith and discovery of the local heritage, in a moment of celebration and communion.
